Access & Mobility
Should you find getting to and from from your

access around your property.
As part of our comprehensive adaptation service
we can undertake the following works that help improve your access and
mobility.
- Door Widening
- Replacement Doors
- Level Door Thresholds
- Ramps and Platforms
- Hand Rails
- Hard Standings
Please

how we might help you improve your property.
Door Widening allows for better
wheelchair access where the existing doorway is too narrow or allows
better turning access. The degree of work involved can vary greatly as
this depends on the type of wall to be altered.
Replacement Doors are often the
only option if you find that you have a uPVC door with a large upstand
threshold. Unfortunately modern uPVC doors do not allow for any
alterations or for the threshold to be removed.
Level Door Thresholds can fitted
to existing timber doors and frames and allow for better wheelchair
access and do not pose the same tripping hazard as conventional steps /
thresholds.
| Ramps and Platforms can
be fitted when there is a step up into you home. There are
various options here that range from: removable ramps, useful
for occasional use or for guests through to permanent concrete
ramps which incorporate platforms at turns and at doorways.
Ramps can involve a lot of work so a survey is always highly
recommended. |

Handrails can be as simple as a
handrail next to your front door to help you negotiate the door
threshold or as complex as a full galvanized handrail to both sides a
ramp.
Hard Standings can be created for
a car or scooter. They enable you to get as close to your property as
possible. They also provide off road parking.
